What is gender affirming speech therapy?
Gender affirming speech therapy helps you coordinate all aspects of your voice to align with your gender identity. We can work with you on aspects of your voice such as pitch, resonance, and intonation, as well as “non-voice” related features like word choice and speech style.
Meet the Speech Therapist
Jon Brockman-Hawe, M.S., CCC-SLP
Jon is a licensed Speech Therapist in the state of Washington. He obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Speech Language Pathology at San Diego State University, and a Master’s of Science in Speech Language Pathology at Boston University. His clinical experience includes work at Ear Nose and Throat clinic, skilled nursing facility and private practice, where he specialized in voice therapy. Jon is trained in use of Resonant Voice Therapy (RVT), Vocal Fold Exercises (VFE), and is certified in Gender Affirming Voice Care through the Seattle Voice Lab.
If not at the office, Jon is an avid hiker and gardener, enjoying the glorious outdoors that living in the PNW has to offer.
